Sybil Gibson was a self-taught American painter. She was educated at Jacksonville State Teachers College, earning a B.S. in Elementary Education before going on to become a teacher. Her work has been exhibited in more than 50 one-woman exhibitions.

Mae Alice was an American artist known for her oil paintings. She was both an abstract artist and a neo-Expressionist. Through her oil paintings, she focused on incorporating brushstroke texture, unique colors, and organic forms found in nature.

Tintype
A tintype is a photograph made by creating a direct positive on a thin sheet of metal, colloquially called 'tin' coated with a dark lacquer or enamel and used as the support for the photographic emulsion. This technique was most popular in the mid to late 1800's.
